Internships

Summer student/internship opportunities in Toronto at Canada's national news agency

The process to secure a summer job at The Canadian Press is always competitive. Some of our summer students have been successful in permanent employment with us or the experience they gained led to careers elsewhere in the news industry.

Editors and news directors across the country know that even a short stint at The Canadian Press, Canada's trusted news leader, provides invaluable training in journalism.

Our summer internships are 12 weeks, beginning in mid-June 2024. It is anticipated the successful applicants will primarily cover hard news and features on the Ontario desk, with the possibility of being scheduled to work in other departments.
